Dancing with the first bee of spring

Dancing with the first bee of spring
Fighting for the prize of sticky and sweet honey, oozing from the hive.
Buzzing fiercely around me.
Maneuvering his way against the wind.
Oh Valiant and Noble Bee!
I would like but a taste of your amber honey
Glittering gold, Nature’s treasure
I can almost dip my fingers in to taste
He knows all too well what just a drop can bring
Alas I am no match for the wild bee
I am left only with his mighty sting.
